For artistic appearance I added some back strokes with the pen. The yellowish background is just repeating step 3 and 4, except that I created a closed line in step 3 that got filled in step 4. Step 6: Improving the visual weight with background and strokes I did the same for the finish by using a black pencil on top of the background and the bottom shade. To add some visual " highlights" I was creating a light stroke with white pencil that looks really cool and natural. Step 5 : Adding the extra finish with light If you want to color all of the cow, you simply click into the cow with the fill tool as you already have a limiting line by the cow body. As long as the color outline is somewhere closed by the shade or the black line, you are not filling the whole canvas, just the selected patch. Step 3-4 : Eventuelly making it pretty with colorįor instance, to fill areas with color, you first define the outline with the color of your choice and then you fill. I generally would recommend that you first take your notes with steps 1-2, which are the quick tools, and when you are finished you can make it look pretty and spend more time by moving things around, change sizes, add color etc (step 3-6). If you like, you can do your sketchnotes with step 1 and 2 only. The shade pen has to be 2-3 times the size as the black line and does not need to be perfectly aligned. The transparency is very important for the "shade pen" in step 2. Before changing the dimensions, check or uncheck these. Under the Resize Canvas section, you’ll find the width and height of the current canvas. The Canvas options will appear in the right-hand pane. Find and click the Canvas option in the header menu. In this example, there is a file that’s 888 x 5625 in size. If you’d like to adhere to the template structure and the image placeholders associated with that template, resize your images before using Add Image. While the PoliteMail Builder will automatically resize images based on width, this can cause your text or image to move within your template, or for your image to appear stretched. It is recommended to resize your images before importing into PoliteMail.
